WINE & OLIVE OIL TASTING During the group tour and tasting, guests are assisted and followed by qualified personnel, who will introduce Cantina Franzosi and its origins. The tour of the cellar also includes a visit to the winemaking and aging rooms with an explanation of the production process, and concluding with a tasting of our wines, extra virgin olive oils and spirits. LA ROCCA MANERBA There, you will find an ample unpaved parking where you can leave your car. Follow an easy trail suitable for all ages to the archaeological area and the panoramic spot by the cross. After admiring the view, you have the option to descend on the side of the coast. The cross on Rocca di Manerba is one of the best panoramic spots on Lake Garda. VISIT LA LIMONAIA PRA DEL FAM The property of the Limonaia is of Parisini’s family that give to the public the possibility to enter and see the structure that is controlled by the “Belle Arti” Academy. It is possible to visit the museum every day. During the guided tours you will have the opportunity to learn about the history and peculiarities of our Limonaia thanks to the help of specialized personnel. At the end, a pleasant tasting will lead you to the discovery of products made especially for you with the fruits of the lemon house, such as the very particular salted lemons flavored with chilli or pepper (ideal for salads, fish or raw meats), limoncino without coloring and preservatives, produced in an ancient local distillery, or the very particular lemon syrup

La Quiete Park Hotel*** This charming, friendly hotel is located just 50m from the shore of Lake Garda, where there is a pebble beach and a few small bars and restaurants. The rooms are simply furnished, with ceiling fan (air conditioning is available on request, subject to availability), safe, free WiFi access, bathroom with shower and wall mounted hairdryer. Most have a large balcony or terrace. The hotel is surrounded by green lawns and olive and lemon trees. There are two outdoor swimming pools equipped with sun lounger and beach umbrellas, one for adults and another for children , one clay tennis courts (to be booked and paid for locally) and private parking. The hotel restaurant offers a buffet breakfast, with some tables available on the terrace outside, and a three course dinner with salad buffet, choice of three starters and three main courses and dessert. A lunchtime menu is available at the garden grill located outside on the terrace, open from mid May to mid September. There are bikes available for free for hotel guests to explore the local area, as well as bike storage and an area for cleaning and maintenance for guests who bring their own bikes. Boat trips and other excursions can be organized at reception.

Location

Manerba del Garda is located on the southwestern shore of Lake Garda, between the larger towns of Salò and Desenzano, and is easily reached from Verona and Brescia. The small town centre is located a five minute drive from the hotel, though there are more restaurants and bars located along the lake shore near the hotel than there are in the town itself. That said we do recommend that you hire a car during your stay as there is a lot to see and do in the area, and transfers to the wine cellars and lemon grove are not included. The area around Manerba offers opportunities for cycling; mountain biking and hiking on the hillside surrounding the lake; boating, canoeing and paddleboarding on the lake, as well as organized excursions to the Isola dei Conigli that can be seen from the beach near the hotel, and the larger Isola del Garda. There are also a number of golf courses nearby. If you hire a car you can also visit nearby Sirmione, Verona and Brescia, as well as the historic ‘Vittoriale degli Italiani’ in Gardone, once the home of Italian writer Gabriele D’Annunzio. There are many shows and events organized during the summer, including open air concerts, street markets and festivals, as well as the prestigious Prim’ Olio event, a festival dedicated to the local extra virgin olive oil.

By Public Transport From Verona airport take the bus to Verona Porta Nuova train station (15 mins). Take the train to Desenzano (30 mins), from Desenzano take a bus to Manerba del Garda (approx 30 mins). By Private Transfer Taxi available outside airport. Private transfer available on request after main booking.
