Hotel Dips & Drops This modern yet welcoming hotel is set in a quiet but central location in Flachau, offering the perfect base for families, couples, and groups looking for an active holiday in the Salzburg mountains. Rooms are decorated in a warm, alpine-modern style, with natural materials and cozy details. All feature comfortable Austrian-style beds, flat-screen TV, free WiFi, safe, private bathroom with walk-in shower or bathtub, hairdryer, and, in most cases, a balcony with panoramic mountain views. The hotel’s small but well-equipped wellness area is ideal for unwinding after a day outdoors. Guests can enjoy a Finnish sauna, steam room, relaxation area, and an outdoor heated whirlpool, all included in the price. Massages are available on request. Just a short walk from the hotel you’ll find a bike park, scenic hiking trails, and, in winter, direct access to the ski slopes and lift systems. The hotel offers a half-board plus service with a focus on quality and local ingredients: *Breakfast buffet: 7.30am to 10.00am – sweet and savoury options, organic products, and a healthy corner *Afternoon snack: 3.00pm to 5.00pm – homemade soups, cakes, and fresh fruit *Dinner: 6.30pm to 8.30pm – 3-course menu with choices, salad buffet, and dessert selection Throughout the day, a juice & tea corner is available, offering soft drinks, teas, and flavored water.

Location

Flachau is a charming village nestled in the Salzburgerland area of the Austrian Alps. In the summer (as in the winter) there are plenty of activities on offer making it a fantastic destination for an adventure holiday. From watersports like white water rafting, canyoning and kayaking to hiking, biking and via ferrata you really are spoiled for choice when deciding what to do each day. Other fun activities include discovering the countryside on a segway, racing downhill on a mountain cart, riding the lucky flitzer year round toboggan run and outdoor go-karting. If the weather is bad or you feel like taking it easy head to the Therme Amadé on the outskirts of Flachau, there is also plenty here to keep the kids entertained including slides and a wave pool. At just under an hour from Salzburg you can easily head into the city for a wander, which we highly recommend doing if you have never been.

Nearest Airport: Salzburg Airport W. A. Mozart (50mins) Other airports: Linz Airport (2hrs), or Munich Airport (2hrs45mins) By Car From the North – via Munich – Rosenheim – Salzburg near Salzburg on the A10 motorway – direction Villach, 70 km south of Salzburg. exit exit Flachau, 66 – simply drive into the city – after 1,5 km turn right on the village street – you’re welcome. From the South – Udine – Villach, Villach in – on the A10 motorway – direction Salzburg, about 100 km north of Villach. Flachau exit. Parking is available at the hotel. By Public Transport It is possible to take a train from Salzburg to Radstadt (1 hour 20 mins) then a bus or taxi from there to Flachau (12 km). Some trains are direct, some involve changing at Bischofshofen. By Private Transfer Taxi available outside airport. Private transfer available on request after main booking.
