Hotel Villa Dvor This friendly, family run hotel is located on an imposing cliff face on the Cetina river, with fantastic panoramic views from the rooms and restaurant, and just 650m from the beach. The hotel owners are passionate about the environment and use a number of energy saving measures to reduce their environmental impact, including producing their own compost for their vegetable garden. The sea view rooms offer sweeping views over the sea and river Cetina canyon. They come complete with air conditioning, free WiFi, flat screen TV, minibar, safe and bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Rooms with balconies are available on request. The restaurant offers a buffet breakfast and in the evening an a la carte menu of local and national dishes using many home grown ingredients, even the house wine is locally produced.

Location

The small town of Omiš is located on the Dalmatian coast, half an hour south of Split, at the mouth of the Cetina river where it flows into the Adriatic sea, surrounded by towering gorges. Famous locally as a one time pirate’s haven, the town is a popular adventure holiday destination thanks to its unusual geography. You can zipline across the gorge, go white water rafting and canyoning, and enjoy other activities like sea kayaking, diving, climbing and hiking. There are a number of cafes, bars and restaurants around the old town and near the public beach where you can eat mouthwatering fresh seafood. While you are in the area a visit to Split (Croatia’s second largest city) is highly recommended and you can also visit the nearby islands of Brac and Hvar for a day out.

Day by day

Rafting The three to four-hour long rafting trip takes you down a 12 km long stretch of the Cetina river. Starting from the village of Penšići, the route will take you past dramatic cliffs and impressive waterfalls and through numerous rapids, ending at Radman Mills, where you can relax and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery. Price includes: raft and paddle, life jacket, helmet, dry bag, skipper and introduction in paddling techniques and safety, neoprene suit (optional) Transfer: included in price Meeting point: Hotel Dvor Departure time: 8-9 am for morning program, 1-2 pm for afternoon program (depending on the season) Duration: approx 4h What to bring (recommended): short pants or swim suit, casual shoes that can get wet, spare clothes and shoes, towel Minimum age: 6 years Zip-lining Sail across the beautiful Cetina canyon by zip line. Activity also includes training and a short nature walk. The zipline is located 3 km from Omis and consists of eight wires with a total length of 2100 m. Three hours of unforgettable fun, adrenaline and beautiful scenery. Canyoning Discover the natural beauty of the Cetina canyon, up to 150 m deep. Basic canyoning is suitable for all and includes walking and swimming through the rapids, swimming in crystal clear natural pools, and cliff-jumping into the lakes and waterfalls of river Cetina. Price includes: neoprene suit, vest, helmet and safety belt for canyoning, professional canyoning guides Transfer: included in price Meeting point: Hotel Dvor Departure time: 1 pm Duration: up to 5 h What to bring (recommended): swimsuit , sports shoes (canyoning shoes available to rent for € 5), towel, water, and some snacks Minimum age: 10 years

Nearest Airport: Split (40km; 45 mins) Other airports: Zadar (180km; 1 hr 50 mins) By Car From Split airport take Cesta Dr. Franje Tuđmana to Ivana Pavla II in Kaštel Novi. Continue on Ivana Pavla II. Take D8 and Poljička cesta to Mosorska cesta in Omiš By Public Transport It is possible to take a bus from the airport to Split, then from there a bus to Omis. The hotel is 600m from the bus terminal. By Private Transfer Taxi available outside airport. Private transfer available on request after main booking.

What fitness level do I need for a multi-activity holiday?

Our multi-activity holidays, whether kayaking and cycling in Croatia or canyoning and paddleboarding on Lake Garda, are generally designed to suit a reasonably active traveller rather than requiring elite fitness. Each activity can usually be adjusted in pace or difficulty, so let us know your fitness level and we'll advise accordingly.

Do I need experience in all the different activities included?

No, most multi-activity packages are designed with beginners in mind for at least some elements, with instructors on hand to guide you through kayaking, cycling, canyoning or trekking as needed. You don't need prior experience in every discipline, just a willingness to give things a go.

Is this trip better suited to groups or can solo travellers or couples join?

Multi-activity holidays work well for groups, couples and solo travellers alike. Some departures are set up as small group experiences where you'll meet other like-minded travellers, while others can be arranged privately. Let us know your preference and we'll recommend the right format for you.

Is there an age limit for activities like canyoning or kayaking?

Age suitability depends on the specific activity and its intensity, canyoning and more technical watersports usually suit teens and adults, while kayaking and cycling can often be adapted for younger family members. Do I get a choice in which activities I take part in each day?

Many of our multi-activity itineraries include a set programme designed to give you a great mix each day, though there's often flexibility to swap an activity or take a rest day if you'd prefer. Let us know your priorities when booking and we'll tailor the balance where possible.

What's included in terms of equipment for all these different activities?

Equipment for each activity on your itinerary, whether that's kayaks, bikes, canyoning gear or paddleboards, is provided as standard as part of the package. You'll just need suitable clothing and footwear for each day. We'll send a full packing list once your multi-activity holiday is booked.
