You're welcome to bring your own bike, but most guests choose to hire a quality touring or e-bike locally through us, which saves the hassle of transporting it. Let us know your preference, height and experience level, and we'll make sure the right bike is ready and waiting when you arrive.
Yes, e-bikes are available on most of our cycling routes, including Istria, the Danube and the Verona to Venice trail, and they're a great option if you want to cover more ground with less effort or tackle hillier sections comfortably. Just request an e-bike when booking and we'll arrange it for you.
Yes, on our self-guided cycling holidays your luggage travels ahead to your next hotel each day, so you only need panniers or a small bag on the bike itself. It's one less thing to think about, letting you focus on enjoying routes through places like Provence or the Salento coastline.
We choose routes that prioritise dedicated cycle paths, quiet backroads and riverside trails wherever possible, such as along the Danube or through Istria, keeping busier roads to a minimum. Some short sections on any route may involve light traffic, and we'll flag anything notable in your route notes in advance.
Our cycling holidays range from relaxed, flat routes suitable for occasional cyclists to longer, hillier days for more experienced riders. We grade each itinerary and can suggest daily distances or an e-bike upgrade if you'd like to keep the pace comfortable while still covering the full route.
Yes, that's the beauty of a self-guided cycling holiday, you set off each morning with your route notes or GPS and travel entirely at your own pace, stopping for coffee, lunch or photos whenever you fancy. There's no group to keep up with and no fixed daily schedule beyond reaching your next hotel.
